Latest estimates indicate that the persecution of the war on Iran is costing American taxpayers $2 billion a day, or $14 BILLION every week. There are approximately 70 million Americans receiving Social Security income in one form or another. For the price of war against Iran, we could put an extra $200 a week into the pockets of EVERY SINGLE Social Security recipient in the United States. In addition, our gas prices would remain stable and Americans wouldn’t be paying with their blood and lives.
Bottom Line: WTF are we doing!? (Pardon my language.) Even if you have strong disagreements with the Iranian government, how can we justify draining resources and sending our troops to die, while people here at home struggle to pay their bills? For the price of this war, we could support working families, seniors, and others who depend on Social Security while stabilizing gas prices, and ensure that Americans are not killed in a conflict that doesn’t benefit us.
